Chain Chain Chain - Bike Racks for Community Events
For many years, Chain Chain Chain has provided bicycle racks for the Bike to Work Week event. To rent these for your community event, please contact chainthree@hotmail.com or 250-208-9925! Thank you for your on-going support!!!
BCAA (British Columbia Automobile Association) Bike Assist Program
From May 30 – June 30, cyclists who’ve experienced a mechanical breakdown can contact BCAA Road Assist service – available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – to receive help. And, if their bike is beyond repair at roadside, the BCAA technician will transport the cyclist and their bike a maximum of five kilometres to their destination or a nearby bike repair shop.
Support will also be available for the Commuter Challenge on May 23.

Tire Stewardship BC Bicycle Tire Recycling Program (NEW!! Bike to Work Week Sponsor!)
Bicycle tires included! Scrap tires are collected and recycled into crumb rubber *granules of rubber with the steel and fibre removed). Crumb is then used to create a variety of products including athletic tracks and synthetic turf fields; non-slip pavers for patios, walkways and playgrounds; colourful, resilient flooring in recreational facilities; flooring and mats for agricultural and industrial use; and asphalt rubber.
City of Victoria Proclaims Tuesday April 26th as GVCC Day (Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition)
This year is the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition and the GVCC is being recognized by the City of Victoria for its work in improving cycling conditions in Greater Victoria.
The City of Victoria will be proclaiming Tuesday April 26th as GVCC Day; the event will occur outside City Hall and organizers are hoping to see as many supporters as possible attending this event.
Recycle Your Old Bicycle Helmet!!!
Pacific Mobile Depots will recycle your old helmet for you the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. Please see their website for more details and to find out the locations of their stations.
